Features of NSNL Savings Account

  • Minimum amount of deposits to open a Saving Deposit account is Rs. 200/-.
  • The money can be withdrawn by using withdrawal slip at the concerned branches.
  • Saving account is of continuing nature. There is no maximum period.
  • A minimum amount of Rs. 200/- has to be kept in saving account.
  • Enable the depositor to earn high rate of Interest @ 4.5% p.a based on daily minimum balance.
  • Savings Account can be opened as “Individual”, “Either (or) Survivor”, “Jointly”, or “Anyone or Survivor” modes.
  • Nomination facility available.
  • For Savings Bank account, interest will be paid to a maximum balance of Rs. 100000/-

Documents required for Opening Savings Account

  • Proof of Identity – Voter ID, Aadhar Card, PAN Card (Any one).
  • Proof of Address – Voter ID, Aadhar Card, Ration Card, Telephone bill, Property Tax bill, lease deed (Any one).
  • Two passport size photographs.
  • Rupees One hundred for Membership Enrolment.
  • Rupees Two hundred for opening Saving Account.
  • Deposit account can be opened in the name of minors and should be operated by a Guardian who should be Member of NSNL.
